Through this project called "Bicycle School", our children and young people develop a physical, social and cognitive potential and the older ones will strengthen habits and reinforce the compliance of standards, the Bicycle School becomes a participative and collective action from recreation, physical activity and sport, for the appropriation and enjoyment of public space, parks, Ciclovía, cycling routes, as well as a tool to strengthen the processes of coexistence, integration, recognition, respect and strengthening of social structures.
In a city like Bogotá, where cultural diversity can break its inhabitants’ sense of belonging, the use of the bicycle contributes to find those spaces of interaction of the different cultures, generating an added value to this element, mainly from its recreational use, which allows the strengthening of social relationships and healthy habits and lifestyles, based on frequent and participatory actions that are attractive and easily accessible.
Train children, youth and adults in bicycle management, through techniques that will allow them to develop basic skills, as well as knowledge and application of safety rules and conditions, in order to ensure proper handling of the bicycle and increase its permanent use in the public space of the city, as an element that allows recreation and physical activity therefore positioning Bogotá as the cyclist capital of America.
The "Bicycle School" program will be developed in the District System of Parks, with emphasis on metropolitan and zonal, since they are the ones that most flow of attendees have during week days and weekends. For the first stage of the project two levels according to the situation of each user, are taken care of:

3. San Cristobal Park
4. Cayetano Cañizares
5. San Andrés Park
6. El Tunal Park
Tuesday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
